Adult Pottery Classes

Our Adult Pottery Offerings:

The Pottery Studio at FYACS offers hand-building and wheel-throwing classes and workshops to adults of all experience levels with clay.

Our Adult (17+) pottery class sessions provide small group instruction in both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques. FYACS also offers one-time adult pottery workshops. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced potter, our classes will meet you where you are. Class sessions include 2 1/2 hours of instruction per week for 6-8 weeks (depending on the session), plus additional work time opportunities by signup throughout the session. Due to the progression of skills taught, it is not possible to join classes mid-session.

Summer 2026

Summer Adult Programs run July 7th-August 26th. We are running 3 class types this summer:

7-week classes: July 7th-August 20th

Wheel-Throwing and Hand-building: Intermediate (Tuesday 6:30-9:00)
Wheel-Throwing and Hand-building: Mixed-level (Thursday 6:30-9:00)

4-Week Intro to Wheel-Throwing Mini-Series on Wednesdays (2 sessions*)

Session 1: July 8 – July 29
Session 2: August 5 – 26

*Please note: This mini-series does not include additional open studio time.
