Live Music at FYACS!

Our creative community is about more than just art classes. Did you know that Follow Your Art Community Studios also holds concerts and live performances?

An intimate “house concert” venue in Melrose

Since 2022, Live from the Living Room has been our “sometimes-series” where we bring beautiful humans with incredible talent to our cozy setting in downtown Melrose. Storytellers, authors, poets, and musicians including Mark Erelli, Peter Mulvey, and Antje Duvekot have graced the living room of the Big Yellow House, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

In June 2024, we opened our new backyard patio and performance space. Storytellers and musicians tested it out during Follow Your Art Community Studios’ fifth birthday party and fundraiser, and it rocked! We’re excited to offer the patio as an additional performance space in the warmer months.

In Fall 2024, Live from the Living Room is back!

Follow Your Art Community Studios is excited to announce that we are working on a regular series of live musical performances, beginning this fall with a special Alastair Moock band show (with Sean Staples and Chandler Travis) on September 14th, Lisa Bastoni on October 26th, Ryan Lee Crosby on November 15, and Teen Coffeehouses hosted by the Peanut Gallery in between. Check out the Fall 2024 offerings below and on our concerts page to see what’s coming up!

●        Saturday, September 14: Alastair Moock Trio (tickets and more information here)

●        Saturday, October 26: Lisa Bastoni (tickets and more information here)

●       Saturday, November 15, 2024: Ryan Lee Crosby (tickets and more information here)

More opportunities to see talented performers in Melrose

Our space is not just for established artists. There is a depth of talent in Melrose across the generations, and FYACS also offers a venue for up-and-comers, notably through our free Teen Coffeehouse events that pack the Big Yellow House multiple times a year. Save these dates for our upcoming Teen Coffeehouses this fall:

●        Sunday, September 29, 3-5pm

●        Sunday, November 3, 3-5pm

We are proud to support performing artists and foster a sense of community and love of music at The Big Yellow House. Please join us for a concert (or two or three) this fall, and help spread the word!
