“We love playing popular songs badly and singing loudly!”

What to expect

Doors open at 6:45 PM. Regular festivities start at 7:00 PM. For the first 45 minutes or so, we’ll play and sing songs from our well-loved songbooks. We then take a 15-minute break, and get back to it until 9:00 PM. We’ll have a few songbooks available to loan for the evening. If you don’t have a uke, get in touch and Strummerville can bring a spare for you to play for the evening.

About the Strummerville Ukulele Club

The Strummerville Ukulele Club is a fun-loving, ukulele-strumming, singing and humming group of amateur musicians who love playing songs badly and singing loudly.

In addition to Melrose, every 2nd Tuesday of the month, we meet at the Brookline Village Public Library in Brookline, MA; and every 4th Wednesday of the month, we meet at the Armory Cafe in Somerville, MA.

Our hosts, Nick (left) and John (right), guide the group through our beloved songbooks. Our repertoire ranges from classic rock to disco, from traditional folk songs to modern pop, and everything in between.

We’re not here for Grammy nominations; we’re here for laughs, occasionally off-key singing, and just enough ukulele strumming to annoy the neighbors!
