Artists use their art to make statements about what is important to them. Sometimes the statement is in the design of the work, and sometimes it is the materials they use.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

This week our program is all about Earth Week, and our art will share the importance of caring for our planet. Inspired by environmental artists, we will use recycled materials, make art in nature and with nature, and even make our own terracotta planter to take home and start our own seeds with the help of the Melrose Seed Library! In collaboration with Keep Melrose Beautiful, we will join a community clean up and use our art to inspire others to do the same.

NOTE: We will spend an hour every morning in outdoor activities, including one day of community clean up, so please dress accordingly! Layers are advised. We will communicate daily about the next morning’s schedule so you are always up to date.

Class is limited to 10 participants; Please provide a nut free snack and water bottle.
