Creative Writing Session: Writing About Obsession

People (and writers) all suffer from obsessions of one kind or another. In this instructional, generative session, we’ll examine several literary examples and consider our own. We’ll use these obsessions as a springboard for our own writing and see how they help a story take shape.All levels welcome. All levels welcome.
An important note about creative writing at FYACS:
As we work to grow our creative writing programs, we want to do so with intentionality and equity for all, including our talented writers who put their time and energy into creating curriculum for and facilitating our programs.
We have been fortunate to have a pool of dedicated volunteers who have developed our Monthly Writing Sessions over the years, and as a result of their volunteerism we have been able to keep the cost of those workshops minimal.
There will continue to be a very low cost “write in” session, with a facilitator and a prompt, every other month. We will also be offering writing workshops on the off months with a writing facilitator who will be creating a curriculum and offering more structure and support.
In order to adequately compensate the writing facilitators who create the curriculum and run these writing programs, the cost for these structured workshops will reflect this change.
As always, Arts for All support is available for anyone who requires financial assistance in order to attend.
